Deb Salay

I first picked up a camera when I was about 10 years old. When I reached high school my Dad gave me a really cool 35mm camera that he had brought back from Germany when he was in the service. Needless to say I was hooked and I have never looked back. After high school I went on to college and achieved degrees in both psychology and supervision. I also became certified in photography through the New York Institute of Photography. It was before the era of online classes so it was quite the adventure to say the least. Along my journey I also went to culinary school where I graduated with honors and I had a new love...preparing fine cuisine. I now have the luxury of  combining my passion for the culinary arts with my love of photography.  I have moved on from my first camera to bigger and better but I will always carry the memory of my very first 35mm camera and the joy it brought me in those days. Today I love capturing the beauty all around us and especially in the food we grow, raise, prepare and eat.

I am based in the mid-west but when it comes to photographing there are no boundaries. My ultimate objective is to provide beautiful images for you to all enjoy and I love the idea of the beauty I see in the world hanging in your homes and offices.  There is so much beauty around us and stories to tell.  I want to share the stories and images so that everyone can experience the beauty of our world.  My art has graced the walls of Caliente Cuban Cafe in downtown Fort Wayne on more than one occasion….ENJOY !!!

~~~ and YES !! I love to travel ~~~
